George Williams College Names Kersten Marketing Director

WILLIAMS BAY, Wis., Nov. 12, 2007 —Wen-D Kersten of Lake Geneva has been named director of marketing at George Williams College of Aurora University in Williams Bay.

Ted Parge, vice president for advancement, made the announcement. He said, “Under Wen-D’s leadership, we will increase awareness of George Williams College programs with new and expanded communications initiatives. We look forward to her contributions in this new role.”

Kersten’s responsibilities include managing and implementing public relations and marketing plans, including media relations activities, public relations, community relations and marketing activities.

Prior to joining GWC, Kersten served as marketing communications manager at Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva for three years.

Her experience also includes positions as a writer and content producer for Fullhouse Media, Inc., of Milwaukee; manager of Partner Marketing Midwest Miles at Midwest Airlines, Oak Creek, Wis.; and as a senior creative producer for Disney Educational Productions at The Walt Disney Company in Burbank, Calif.

Kersten earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Maryland in College Park and completed all coursework for a master’s degree in film from Stanford University in  Palo Alto, Calif.
