George Williams College Offers Golf Lessons in August

Williams Bay, Wis., July 31, 2007 — George Williams College of Aurora University located at Highway 67 and North Lakeshore Drive in Williams Bay will offer a golf class for adults in August on the campus golf course.

Pete Puleo, a US Golf Teachers Federation-certified teaching professional, is the instructor. New golfers will learn golf etiquette and club handling.

The Adult Beginning Clinic is 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 23; Tuesday, August 28; and Thursday, August 30. Students must be 18 to enroll. Classes will include four to eight students and the fee is $50 per person. Registration is due two weeks in advance. Golf clubs are available for rental.

The public is invited to play the 18-hole course. Course hours are dawn to dusk seven days a week. Daily and season rates are available for adults, seniors (age 65 and better), and juniors (under age 18).

Tee-time reservations are required Friday through Monday and holidays. The public, par 67, 5,066-yard family course has a 102 slope and 63.4 rating.

Gas-powered carts, pull carts, and clubs are available for rental. The course features watered tees, greens and fairways; and a clubhouse with equipment and refreshments for purchase.
