Aurora University student earns scholarship from Walworth HR association

Williams Bay, Wis., August 18, 2006 — Kathy Krueger of Lake Geneva, Wis., a student at George Williams College of Aurora University in Williams Bay, has received a $500 scholarship from the Walworth County Human Resources Association (WCHRA).

Krueger, an organizational leadership major, received her scholarship at the WCHRA’s luncheon meeting at the Moose Creek Bar & Grill in Elkhorn, Wis.

Co-presenters were Holly L. de Back-Paupore, WCHRA president, and Kate Johnson, scholarship committee chair.

Krueger left her job in October to enroll fulltime at GWC. She plans to graduate in May 2007. Her son Josh is also an organizational leadership major at GWC. His siblings, Matt and Shannon, are also college students.
Krueger said, “It’s exciting to think that I will be going to college at the same time three of my four children will be in college too!”

She is considering careers in customer service, human resources or hospitality management after graduation. Currently she is studying for the Wisconsin real estate sales licensing exam.

“I have enjoyed customer service work, so I hope to find a position that is rewarding and allows me to use my many years of customer service experience,” Krueger said.

Linda Olbinski, dean of AU’s School of Professional Studies, said “"I am grateful to the Walworth County Human Resources Association for presenting their scholarship to a George Williams College student for the third year in a row. Two previous students have used their scholarships to continue their education and their goal of receiving a bachelor's degree."
