Spartan Named Conference Player of the Week

AURORA, Ill. October 20, 2005 - Aurora University women’s cross country runner, junior Fran Sikorski (Lombard, IL/Driscoll Catholic) was named Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference Player of the Week for the week ending October 16, 2005.

During that time, Sikorski competed in and won the Rockford Invitational at Fuller Forest in Rockford, IL. Running a 6k course, Sikorski ran a meet-best time of 24:47 while leading the Spartans to the overall meet victory as well.

The next action for Sikorski and the women’s cross country team comes on Saturday, October 29, 2005, at the Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference Championships hosted by Rockford College. Meet time is set for 11:00 a.m. at Fuller Forest in Rockford, IL.
