Spartan Named Soccer Player of the Week

AURORA, Ill. September 20, 2005 - Aurora University women’s soccer player, freshman forward Allison Bailey (Dixon, Ill./Dixon HS), was named Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 18, 2005.

For the week, in which the Spartans had a 2-0 record defeating Elmhurst College (3-1) and Lakeland College (4-0), helping extend the AU win streak to three games. Bailey scored three goals, her first three collegiate goals.

On the season, Bailey is tied for the team lead in goals with three and holds the team lead in point with seven, while also having dished out one assist on the year.

Bailey and the Spartan women’s soccer team are in action next on Wednesday, Sept 21, 2005, when they host North Park University in a non-conference match-up. Game time will take place at 4:00 p.m. on AU Field.
