Spartan Receives Conference Volleyball Honor

AURORA, Ill. September 14, 2005 - Aurora University volleyball player, junior outside hitter Sarah Campbell (Lake Villa, Ill./Grayslake HS) was named Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 11, 2005.

For the week, Campbell sparked the Spartans by averaging 3.8 kills and 4.9 digs per game. In the Spartans’ 3-0 victory over North Park University at the AU Coleman Memorial Tournament, Campbell had a .441 kill percentage, knocking down 17 kills to go along with 20 digs.

On the season, in which AU is 4-4, Campbell is averaging 3.09 kills and 5.06 digs per game and has nine serving aces.

Next action for Campbell and the Spartan volleyball team comes on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16 and 17, 2005, when they travel to the University of Chicago Tournament. Game times are set for 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday, and 10:00 a.m. and noon on Saturday.
