Aurora University Announces June Events Calendar

AURORA, Ill.—A music concert by vocalist Maureen McGovern, an author appearance, and a baseball camp for youth highlight June events scheduled at Aurora University.

The public is invited. Events are free unless a fee is indicated.

The schedule is:

J une 2: Test Review—A review session for the Illinois State Board of Education Basic Skills test is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in room 124 of the Institute for Collaboration at 407 S. Calumet Ave. in Aurora. The cost is $25 for the public and free for alumni and current students. Advance registration is required. Information: 630-844-5294 or AUadmission@aurora.edu .

June 4: Graduate Information Event—Information about graduate education programs will be offered at 4:30 p.m. in room 112 in the Institute for Collaboration, 407 S. Calumet Ave. in Aurora. Information : 630-844-5294 or AUadmission@aurora.edu.

June 4: Book Signing—Glen Ellyn author Sandra Alcorn will sign her Strong Roots : A Group Memoir of George Williams College, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the University Club of Chicago, 76 E. Monroe St. in Chicago. Information or RSVP : 630-844-5486 or 800-377-2782.

June 23-27: Baseball Camp—The Spartan Baseball Camp for youth ages 8-16 is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at West Aurora High School. Cost is $195 for the first child in a family and $165 for each sibling. Information: 630-844-6181 or 630-844-5111.

June 25: HR Workshop—“HR Legal Update,” a free human resources workshop, is at 8 a.m. in the University Banquet Hall in Alumni Hall, 1410 Marseillaise Place in Aurora. Information: 630-844-4894.

June 28: Music by the Lake—The Main Stage Series opens with Maureen McGovern and the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. in The Ferro Pavilion at George Williams College of Aurora University, 350 Constance Blvd. in Williams Bay, Wis.
