Learn About St. Paul at Aurora University Feb. 9

AURORA, Ill.-"Can Anything be Said for St. Paul?" will be discussed in a free lecture at Aurora University on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m.

The program is free to the public in room 320 of Eckhart Hall at 347 S. Gladstone Ave. in Aurora. The sponsor is AU's Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action.

Co-speakers are Martin Forward, executive director of the Wackerlin Center, and Drew Taylor, a senior history and religion major from DeKalb.

Refreshments will be served.

Taylor is writing an independent study on St. Paul as part of his AU studies.

Forward said, "The Pope has declared 2008 to be the year of St. Paul. In recent years, Paul has had a bad press for, among other things, hating women, complicating the simple gospel of Jesus, and beginning the long rift between Jews and Christians that has only recently started to heal."

Reservations are requested.

Call (630) 844-4885 or e-mail adeguria@aurora.edu.
