Aurora University to Hold Winter Open House Saturday, Feb. 2

AURORA, Ill.--Aurora University will hold a winter open house for prospective students from 8:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2. Prospective students, parents and guests are invited. The Office of Admission and Financial Aid is the sponsor.

The program opens at 8:45 a.m. with registration and refreshments in Crimi Auditorium at the Institute for Collaboration, 407 S. Calumet Ave. in Aurora. At 9:15 a.m., university officials will review admission procedures, academic programs, and financial aid opportunities.

A panel of AU faculty, staff, and current students will discuss campus life at 10:15 a.m. At an academic fair at 10:45 a.m. in Thornton gym, guests can meet with faculty, staff, and students to learn about academic programs and campus extracurricular activities.

Current students will lead campus tours from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. At 11:30 a.m., guests are invited to a chili and soup bar in the campus cafeteria.

The open house will close with a presentation from 1 to 1:45 p.m. on the most popular major-undecided. The program is in the University Banquet Hall at Alumni Hall, 1410 Marseillaise Place in Aurora.
