Aurora University Professor Discusses Criminal Justice Topics At National Conference
AURORA, Ill.--
Stephanie Walsh, assistant professor of criminal justice at Aurora University, was among presenters at the American Society of Criminology national conference at Atlanta, Ga., Nov. 13-17.
Walsh gave two presentations, “Perceptions of Law Enforcement Administrators Regarding the Detection and Prosecution of Cyber-Criminals” and “Cheating Online: Results of Self-Report Surveys of Academic Dishonesty Among Undergraduates in Online Courses.”
Additionally, Walsh chaired a panel session on “Juvenile Correctional Institutions: Attitudes and Experiences in Juvenile Correctional Contexts.” She also served as a panelist for two sessions, “Policing and Law Enforcement: Issues in Police Investigations” and “Teaching about Crime and Justice: Issues in Criminal Justice Online Learning.”
Walsh received her Ph.D. in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Before she joined AU this fall, she taught at the University of Southern Carolina Upstate, Texas A&M University, California State University, Sam Houston State University and the University of Texas-Tyler.
