Aurora University Announces December Events

AURORA, Ill.-- A holiday concert, youth baseball camp, and a benefit blanket lunch hour highlight December events at Aurora University. Events are free to the public unless a fee is indicated.

Events scheduled are:
Dec. 1: Career Workshop---"Charting a New Course," a career-management workshop, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Beasley Campus Center Executive Dining Room at the George Williams College of Aurora University, 350 Constance Blvd. in Williams Bay, Wis.. Dec. 3: Pearl Harbor Memorial---The 38th annual Pearl Harbor Day memorial luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. in the University Banquet Hall at Alumni Hall, 1410 Marseillaise Place, Aurora. Cost: $20. Information: 630-896-8917.

Dec. 4: Financial Aid Seminar---A seminar about college financial aid will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the University Banquet Hall at Alumni Hall, 1410 Marseillaise Place in Aurora. Information: 630-844-6190 or e-mail finaid@aurora.edu.

Dec. 6: Blanket Benefit---The public is invited to hand tie blankets for needy children in a third annual Blanket Lunch Hour from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the University Banquet Hall at 1410 Marseillaise Place, Aurora. Information: 630-844-5114.

Dec. 9: Holiday Concert---"Gloria in Excelsis!" a concert classical and popular holiday selections by the University Chorale and The Music by the Lake Singers and Festival Orchestra, under the direction of Christine Flasch, is at 7 p.m. in Crimi Auditorium at 407 S. Calumet Ave. in Aurora. Part of the Celebrating Arts and Ideas, the concert is made possible in part by the Wadsworth Family Cultural Arts Endowment Fund.
