Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month:
'Aztec Stories' Coming To Aurora University Oct. 5
AURORA,
Ill, September 27,
2007—"Aztec Stories!" a program of stories, music, and traditions celebrating the Aztec culture, will be hosted by Aurora University on Friday, Oct. 5.
An observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, the program is free to the public from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Perry Theatre at the Aurora Foundation Center for Community Enrichment at 1305 Kenilworth Place in Aurora.
Michael and Chi Heralda, a father-son team, will share the Aztecan culture through songs, oral tradition stories, and poetry.
The Heraldas will use more than 35 hand-made indigenous instruments during their high-energy program for all ages.
A question and answer session will follow the performance. AU is among stops on a two-week Chicago-area tour of "Aztec Stories."
