Aurora University Announces September Events
AURORA,
Ill, August 21,
2007— A lecture by author Barbara Ehrenreich, a human resources workshop, and an art display opening highlight Aurora University’s September events calendar.
Most events are free to the public. Events scheduled are:
- Sept. 4: Test Review—A review seminar for the Illinois State Board of Education Basic Skills Test is from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Language arts and writing will be covered. Free to AU students and alumni, $25 for others. Information: 630-844-5520.
- Sept. 13: Art Opening—“Evidence of Human Habitation,” an art exhibit through Nov. 8, will open with a reception from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Downstairs Dunham Gallery, 1400 Marseillaise Place in Aurora. Information: 630-844-7843.
- Sept. 17: Author Lecture—Barbara Ehrenreich, author of “Nickel and Dimed: (Not) Getting By in America,” will speak at 7:30 p.m. in Crimi Auditorium at the Institute for Collaboration, 407 S. Calumet Ave. in Aurora. Information: (630) 844-5486.
