Aurora University Annouces August Events

AURORA, Ill. July 23, 2007 - A concert by the 5th Dimension, a human resources workshop, and an art display highlight Aurora University's August events calendar. Most events are free to the public.

Events scheduled are:

* Aug. 4: The 5th Dimension-The 5th Dimension will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. in Allyn Pavilion for the Performing Arts at George Williams College of Aurora University at 350 Constance Blvd. in Williams Bay, Wis. Tickets: $11-$53. Information: 866-843-5200 or visit www.aurora.edu/mbtl.

* Aug. 25: Test Review: A review for the Illinois State Board of Education Basic Skills Test is 9 a.m. to noon. Overview, reading comprehension and math I will be covered. Free to AU students and alumni, $25 for others. Information: 630-844-5520.

* Aug. 27: Test Review: A review for the Illinois State Board of Education Basic Skills Test is 6 to 8:30 p.m. The topic is math II. Free to AU students and alumni, $25 for others. Information: 630-844-5520.

* Aug. 29: HR Workshop-A free workshop sponsored by the AU Human Resources Institute and HRMS of Naperville is at 8 a.m. in the University Banquet Hall at Alumni Hall, 1410 Marseillaise Place, Aurora. Information: 630-844-3866, thoehne@aurora.edu.

* Ongoing: Art Exhibit-The seventh annual Aurora University student art show is on display through Sept. 14 in the Downstairs Dunham Gallery at Dunham Hall, 1400 Marseillaise Place in Aurora. Admission is free to the public. Information: 630-844-7843.
