All '06 Aurora University nursing grads pass licensing examAURORA, Ill. November 10, 2006 - For a second consecutive year, Aurora University School of Nursing May graduates achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the National Council on Licensure Examination-RN (NCLEX-RN). AU Provost Andrew Manion said, This achievement is a reflection of the excellence in teaching and high standards for students that we have set in the School of Nursing. Carmella Moran is AU School of Nursing director. Graduates of AUs School of Nursing and other schools are required to pass the NCLEX-RN to receive state licenses to practice in hospitals, nursing homes, and other agencies. The computer-based test is administered by an independent testing organization at sites nationwide. Students are expected to answer 75 to 275 questions on a dozen topics. They include management and legal issues, pharmacology, infection control, laboratory tests, and disaster and bioterrorism nursing. May graduates are:
Founded in 1979, AUs School of Nursing offers two academic programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees: an entry track for pre-license students and an RN-to-BSN completion track for licensed RNs.
