Local Professor To Compete In Speech Contest Saturday

AURORA, Ill. October 13, 2006 - Aurora University professor Rochelle Santopoalo, Ph.D., will compete in the Toastmasters International Illinois southwest division speech contest at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Naperville City Hall, 400 S. Eagle St.

The public is invited. Admission is free. Contestants are judged on their evaluation of another speaker’s speech.

Santopaolo, an Aurora resident, is an AU visiting assistant professor of business and a member of the Riverwalk Toastmasters club of Naperville.

Santopoalo advanced to the division contest by winning the SW-32 area evaluation speech contest Sept. 30 at the Naperville Public Library.

She joined Toastmasters International in 1996 and the Riverwalk club in March.
