Aurora University to host visit day Oct. 9AURORA, Ill. September 26, 2006 - College-bound first-year students, parents, and friends are invited to visit Aurora University on Monday, Oct. 9 AU’s annual fall open house for future freshmen is set for 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Crimi Auditorium in the Institute for Collaboration at 407 S. Calumet Ave., Aurora.. Faculty and staff members will provide information on scholarships, academic programs, and campus life. Current students will lead campus tours. Carol Dunn, vice president for enrollment, said, “Visiting the campus is one of the best ways for students to become better acquainted with schools they are considering. The Fall 2006 Visit Day can help students make their choice of a university easier.” Activities begin at 9 a.m. with registration and a continental breakfast. At 9:30 a.m., college officials will discuss scholarships, financial aid, and admission procedures. At 10:15 a.m., guests can talk with faculty members and take campus tours conducted by current students. From 11:30 a.m. to noon, guests are invited to have lunch with faculty, staff, and current students. From 12:15 to 12:45 p.m., faculty and staff will discuss student life and student activities.
