Learn about new Aurora University accounting degree Sept. 21AURORA, Ill. September 1, 2006 - Aurora University’s Dunham School of Business will offer information on a new bachelor’s degree completion program in accounting on Thursday, Sept. 21. The program is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., at the Institute for Collaboration, room 112, 407 S. Calumet Ave. in Aurora. Designed for adults, the degree-completion program features evening and Saturday-morning classes and credit for prior college coursework. Courses are scheduled to allow students’ academic progress while accommodating employment and family responsibilities. Courses meet weekly for eight weeks except for three classes that meet for 16 weeks. The AU accounting program is designed to prepare students for careers in profit, nonprofit, and government sectors. Due to government demands for more extensive information, companies and their contract auditors are adding accountants at a record pace. An option of the accounting degree-completion program is the seamless entry into the MBA accounting track that prepares students for the Certified Public Accounting exam while earning a master’s degree. For more information, contact AU’s Center for Adult and Graduate Studies at (630) 844-5294 or e-mail AUadmission@aurora.edu. - END - |
