Aurora University sets September events
AURORA, Ill. August 31,
2006 - Programs on the Middle East and South Africa, business workshops,
and an art show opening highlight September events at Aurora University.
Admission is free to the public unless a fee is indicated.
- Sept. 7: South Africa talk. “12 years after Apartheid: The New
South Africa” will be presented by Jocelyn Hellig, professor
at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa,
from noon to 1 p.m. in Perry Theatre at the Aurora Foundation Center
for Community Enrichment, 1305 Kenilworth Place in Aurora. Information:

- Sept. 9: Mid-East Forum. “Is there a Clash of Civilizations?” a
forum on the Middle East, is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in room 320 of Eckhart

- Sept. 14: Art Show Opening. “First Light II: New Artists, New
Work,” a six-artist exhibit Sept. 14-Oct. 27, opens with a reception
from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Downstairs Dunham Gallery in Dunham Hall, 1400

- Sept. 16: M.B.A. Orientation. Future MBA students are invited to
learn about AU programs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dunham Hall lobby,

- Sept. 20: Leadership Lecture. “Collaborative Leadership and the
Learning Organization” will be presented by Peter M. Senge, author
and senior lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from
8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Crimi auditorium in AU’s Institute for
Collaboration, 407 S. Calumet Ave. in Aurora. Cost: $100 (continental

The AU Sales Institute and the Naperville Chamber of Commerce will
sponsor “Strategic Sales Process,” a
