"12 years after apartheid" - South African professor to address Aurora University Sept. 7

AURORA, Ill. August 31, 2006 - South African professor Jocelyn Hellig will discuss “12 years after Apartheid: The New South Africa” at Aurora University on Thursday, Sept. 7.

The free program is from noon to 1 p.m. at Perry Theatre in the Aurora Foundation Center for Community Enrichment, 1305 Kenilworth Place in Aurora..

Hellig is a professor at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

AU’s Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action is the program sponsor.

Martin Forward, center executive director said, “Dr. Hellig is a distinguished member of South Africa’s Jewish community. She regularly speaks on Jewish and interfaith subjects, as well as apartheid.”
