Selling strategically; Sales experts to explore sales-process strategies Sept. 22

AURORA, Ill. August 28, 2006 - Aurora University’s Dunham School of Business and the Naperville Chamber of Commerce host “The Strategic Sales Process,” a breakfast workshop presented by four area executives, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, at the Hilton Hotel, 3003 Corporate West Drive in Lisle.

The public is invited to the first of four 2006-07 AU Sales Institute workshops. The cost is $25 and includes the presentation and breakfast.

Topics to be addressed include strategies for prospecting, planning sales calls, and analyzing customer/prospect needs. Other scheduled topics include proposing solutions, gaining commitment, buyer behavior and the buying process, ethics and the sales process, and behavioral and social style interaction issues.

Panelists scheduled are Mike Hensley, sales vice president, NetScout Systems, Lisle; Chris Tews, sales vice president and co-owner, Graphix Products, West Chicago; and Glen Carwell, territory sales manager, Makino Corp., Elgin. Shawn Green, AU professor of marketing and Vernon Haase Professor of Business and Economics, will emcee the program.
