Aurora University sets September events
AURORA, Ill. August 16,
2006 - A program on collaborative leadership, sales and human resources
workshops, and an art show opening highlight September events at Aurora
University.
- Sept. 14: Art Show Opening. “First
Light II: New Artists, New Work,” a five-artist exhibit Sept.
14-Oct. 27, opens with a reception from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Downstairs
Dunham Gallery in Dunham Hall, 1400 Marseillaise Place, Aurora. Information:

- Sept. 20: Leadership
Lecture. “Collaborative
Leadership and the Learning Organization” will be presented
by Peter M. Senge, author and senior lecturer at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Crimi auditorium
in AU’s Institute for Collaboration, 407 S. Calumet
Ave. in Aurora. Cost: $100 (continental breakfast included). Information:

- Sept. 22: Sales Workshop.
The AU Sales Institute and the Naperville Chamber of Commerce
will sponsor “Strategic Sales Process,” a panel discussion
by area sales executives, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Hilton Hotel,
3003 Corporate West Drive in Lisle. Topics include strategies for
prospecting, planning sales calls, buyer behavior, the buying process,
ethics in the sales process, and gaining commitment. Cost: $25 (including

27: HR Workshop. AU’s Human Resources Institute sponsors “Strategic
