Area residents earn Aurora University athletic honors

AURORA, Ill. June 27, 2006 - Area residents are among Aurora University athletes honored at an annual Spartan sports spring banquet at Thornton gymnasium.

Voted male and female Athletes of the Year by members of the AU Athletic Department were sophomore men’s basketball forward Larry Welton (Chicago, Ill./Thornwood H.S.) and senior women’s soccer defender Allison Banta (Griffith, Ind./Griffith H.S.).
