Aurora University sets June events calendar
AURORA, Ill. May 19,
2006 - An art exhibit, a baseball camp for youth, and a human resources
workshop highlight June events at Aurora University.
Events are free to the public unless a fee is indicated. The lineup
is:
- June 5: Summer School.
AU summer classes are offered through Aug. 12. Information: 630-844-5533

- June 6: Ethics Workshop. “Managing
Risk through Ethical Practice,” a
workshop for social workers and students, is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
at Perry Theatre, Aurora Foundation Center for Community Enrichment,
Aurora. Cost: $45-$110. Registration deadline: May 30. Information:

- June 6: Test Review. AU’s Learning Center sponsors
preparation for the Illinois State Board of Education Basic Skills
test from 6 to 8:30 p.m. General overview, test taking strategies,
reading comprehension and Math I will be covered. Free to AU students

- June 17: Test Review.
AU’s Learning Center
sponsors preparation for the Illinois State Board of Education Basic Skills
test from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Math II will be covered. Free to AU students

- June 19-23: Youth Baseball
Camp. The annual summer Spartan Baseball Camp for youth ages 8-18 is
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at West Aurora High School. Cost: $190 for

- June 20: Test Review.
AU’s Learning Center sponsors
preparation for the Illinois State Board of Education Basic Skills test
from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Language arts and writing will be covered. Free to

- June 28: HR Workshop.
AU’s Human Resources Institute sponsors “Legal
Update” from 8 to 9 a.m. at the University Banquet Hall at Dunham

- Ongoing: Art Show. Annual AU student art show through Sept. 15 at the Downstairs
Dunham Gallery, Dunham Hall, 1400 Marseillaise Place, Aurora. Hours are
