AU Employee to Appear on 'Extreme Makeover Home Edition'

AURORA, Ill. — Lindsay Janssen of Aurora will be among the volunteers appearing in ABC-TV's "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" on Sunday, November 15, at 7 p.m. (Channel 7 in the Chicago market).
Janssen, 24, is a 2007 Aurora University graduate and an AU graduate financial aid counselor. She volunteered Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-13, in Lena, Ill., on a home-renovation project sponsored by "Extreme Makeover."
She was joined by her roommate, mother Jennie of Chadwick, Ill., and 1,500 other volunteers who helped raise the roof for the Phillips and Joey Stott family of Lena (on Route 20 between Freeport and Stockton). Volunteers worked from Saturday through Tuesday, Sept. 12-15.
Janssen said, "The family's story is incredibly touching and the house is stunning! It is truly amazing how much can be accomplished in just seven days with the help and support of an entire community."
