GWC Bistro Speaker Series to Address Leadership in a Tough Economy
10/9/2009
WILLIAMS BAY, Wis. — In the working world of today, no one's job is secure. Join George Williams College of Aurora University students, faculty and staff at the next Bistro Speaker Series event as they discuss the current environment of layoffs, cutbacks and benefit changes, and how it impacts leadership issues and staffing in human resources.
The program will be held Thursday, Oct. 22 in The Bistro at the Beasley Campus Center, on the campus located at 350 Constance Blvd. in Williams Bay. A reception will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a panel discussing audience questions from 6 to 7 p.m.
Guest speaker Dr. Vince Pellettiere, Assistant Professor of Business and Coordinator, Human Resources Institute at Aurora University, will lead the discussion. Pellettiere, a Senior Professional HR Manager and Global Professional HR Manager certified professional, will also include information on the SHRM Learning System Course, recognized through the Society for Human Resource Management, the organization that provides certification and training for HR managers. In May 2010, this course will be offered at the George Williams College campus and is designed to prepare those taking the certification exams for the Professional HR Manager and Senior Professional HR Manager certificates.
