George Williams College to Offer First Summer Institute

WILLIAMS BAY, Wis.—This summer, George Williams College of Aurora University will offer its first Summer Institute, an opportunity to combine academic classes with family time on Geneva Lake. Students take part in one or more of five weekend courses in leadership, while their families enjoy campus recreational activities.
"George Williams College offers the perfect environment for studying as well as reflection and relaxation," says Linda Olbinski, Dean of Academic Studies. “Through the Institute, students can broaden their minds and expand their career opportunities while their families enjoy the lakefront.”
Students who complete three classes will receive a Business Leadership Certificate and academic credit toward an MBA degree.
The Summer Institute includes two summer terms and a fall term. All classes meet from 6 to 9:45 p.m. on Fridays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
The first summer term offers Leading Strategically: Negotiation and Crisis Management. Meeting dates are June 12-13, June 26-27 and July 10-11.
The second summer term offers three courses: Leadership and Organizational Behavior; Customer Relations Management; and Innovation and Venture Initiation. Meeting dates are July 24-25, July 31-Aug. 1 and Aug. 14-15.
The fall term offers Leading Nonprofits. Meeting dates are Sept. 11-12, Sept. 25-26, and Oct. 9-10.
As part of the Institute, families are welcome to enjoy the George Williams College campus beach, golf course and Music by the Lake concerts (additional fees may apply). Overnight stays are available at special rates on campus or in nearby resorts and hotels.
