Aurora University Advisor Reelected To National Association Board

AURORA, Ill. — Travis Ramage of Aurora, an Aurora University staff member, has been reelected to the board of directors of the National College Learning Center Association.
Ramage is an academic advisor in AU’s Crouse Center for Student Success. He was elected to a second two-year term as NCLCA professional development chair at the organization’s 23 rd annual conference in Memphis , Tenn. last month.
NCLCA is a national organization that supports learning assistance professionals in the post-secondary setting.
NCLCA promotes standards in the areas of learning center administration, management, program design, evaluation, and research. With about 300 members, the group provides opportunities for professional development, networking, conferences, and workshops.
Learning center professionals offer tutoring, teach study or time management skills, provide disability services, or offer support through researching internet activities.
Founded in 1985 as the Midwest College Learning Center Association, the organization was incorporated in 1988, and in 1999 became the National College Learning Center Association.
