5 Top Employers: Free Business Workshop At Aurora University Nov. 19

AURORA, Ill. — “ Meet Five of the Best Companies to Work for in 2008,” a free workshop, will be held by Aurora University’s Human Resources Institute from 8 to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the University Banquet Hall, 1410 Marseillaise Place in Aurora.
The public is invited. Networking and refreshments are at 7:30 a.m.
The program will feature representatives from firms r ecognized by Fortune Magazine and the Illinois Society of Human Resources Professionals.
Speakers scheduled are Tracy Allen, benefits manager, Rush Copley Medical Center, Aurora; Kimberly Saxton, director, human resources, Monarch Landing—Erickson Retirement Communities LLC, Naperville; Susan Richards, director of administration/firm administrator, The Mueller Companies, Elgin; Lisa Gutierrez, vice president, human resources, ATI Physical Therapy, Romeoville; and Leslie Dixon, chief human resources officer, Robert W. Baird Co., Milwaukee.
Baird Co. was ranked by Fortune Magazine as the 39 th best company to work for in the U.S. ATI, Monarch Landing and Rush Copley were ranked third, sixth and eighth, respectively, best large Illinois place to work by SHRM-Illinois. Mueller Companies was ranked the 15 th best small/medium Illinois place to work by SHRM-Illinois. Future HR Institute programs scheduled are:

Sept. 30—“Immigration Issues,” by Atty. Andrew Sagartz, Calmec Global Law Group.
Oct. 28—“HR’s Role as Change Risk Assessors,” Vince Pellettiere, assistant professor, Aurora University .
