Aurora University to Host British Theologian

AURORA , Ill.—Aurora University will host Ursula King, Professor Emerita of Religious Studies at the University of Bristol, England, a Roman Catholic theologian and a leading writer on spirituality and interfaith dialogue, on Thursday, Oct. 30.

King will speak on “Spiritualities for Life” at noon in Lowry Chapel in Eckhart Hall, 347 S. Gladstone Ave. in Aurora. The sponsor is AU’s Wackerlin Center for Faith and Action.

A native of Germany, King studied there, and also in France, India and England. She has authored many books and is in demand as a visiting lecturer.

King is an expert on Hinduism and Teilhard de Chardin, Roman Catholic mystic and visionary. She has been a visiting professor in the U.S. and Norway.
