Seasonal Groundskeeper

Position Summary: Responsible for mowing, irrigation, repairs and other grounds maintenance. This is a seasonal position through November 15, 2008.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

1. Represents Aurora University in the most positive manner with prospective, former and current students, clients, suppliers and the community we serve. Interacts effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students and other customers of our service, learns and uses operating practices of the department and Aurora University.
2. Upholds the Mission Statement: Aurora University an inclusive community dedicated to the transformative power of learning.
3. Handles confidential information with tact and discretion.

Other duties and responsibilities:

1. Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required: High school diploma preferred. Will train the right individual. Must be at least 18 years of age and have legal authorization to work in the United States. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance is essential. Must have sufficient physical strength to lift, move and carry heavy objects. Must be able to pass a physical abilities test and background check and drug screen. Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holiday work required.
