Question: How do I use the Email filters?
Answer:
- Email Filters can help you manage your incoming mail more efficiently.
- Go to preferences and select Mail Filters
- Select New FIlter
- Choose a name for this filter.
- Select whether you want to filter based on "any" or "all" of the criteria that you enter.
- In the conditions box, click the down arrow to select the portion of an incoming Email to be evaluated.
- Select the matching you want by clicking the down arrow to see the matching options.
- Enter the text to be evaluated.
- Click the plus sign to add more criteria.
- Select the action to perform by clicking the down arrow and selecting the desired option (File into Folder).
- Browse for the folder where the message should be placed.
- Click OK. Note that changes to filter rules are saved immediately.
- Messages meeting the criteria will bypass your Inbox and be routed to the new folder.
