AU Homepage > Academics > Institute for Collaboration

I am delighted to welcome you to the website for the Institute for Collaboration at Aurora University. The University describes itself as “an inclusive community dedicated to the transformative power of learning,” and the Institute puts that motto into practice. Through the Institute’s programs, university students have a wide range of opportunities to use their skills and talents in collaborative programs that benefit the students and families of the communities served by the University.

These opportunities currently include working with middle school students in an innovative city-wide after school program and serving as leaders in a pre-college experience developed in partnership with the Quad County Urban League. As we enter our third year, we look forward to launching additional initiatives, including a unique partnership for community wellness as well as arranging for the tutoring of middle school students as a clinical experience for University students.

Our steering committee includes leaders from businesses, social service, and government organizations. They are enthusiastically committed to the collaborative model as an effective means of furthering their own organizational missions.

Please explore our website and its links to the Institute for Collaboration’s partners. We hope that it will inspire other universities and communities to collaborate for the benefit of their students and the greater good of their communities.

Sincerely,

Sherry R. Eagle, Ed.D.
