Collaborations
The Institute for Collaboration is proud to have developed productive relationships with the following distinguished municipal, educational, business, and not-for-profit partners:
- City of Aurora: The City of Aurora boasts a vibrant and diverse community with a quality of life that is second to none. Residents and visitors to Illinois’ second largest city enjoy a variety of premier shopping, entertainment and educational opportunities.
- Communities in Schools (CIS): CIS has been a driving force in bringing organizations together for the benefit of Aurora’s youth and families. CIS creates collaborative projects with community partners that lay the foundation for a strong and prosperous community by helping children do better in school.
- Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley: The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley is a collection of charitable funds established by citizens to enhance the quality of life in the Fox River Valley of Illinois. Since its founding in 1948, the Foundation has provided nearly $30 million in grants and scholarships to local residents. The Community Foundation is a permanent resource that will continue its tradition of service for generations to come.

- Fox Valley Park District: The mission of the Fox Valley Park District is to enrich our community with fun, diverse and safe park and recreation experiences through environmentally and financially responsible actions.
- Future Educators of America at Aurora University (FEAU): Future Educators at Aurora University is composed of Aurora University students interested in preparing for education related careers. The purpose of FEAU is to encourage elementary and secondary education majors to develop an understanding of the role of schools in our society, to provide information on professional career opportunities in education and to provide opportunities for members to develop qualities, attitudes and experiences basic to successful teaching.
- Girl Scouts - Fox Valley Council: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. The three keys to leadership in Girl Scouting - Discover, Connect and
Take Action - represent cycles of activities that engage girls in practicing leadership skills, based on the values of the Girl Scout Promise and Law. These activities are directly tied to specific outcomes such as valuing cultural diversity and individual uniqueness; educating and inspiring others; and making a difference through community service and action.
- Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce: The Greater Aurora Chamber of Commerce, a membership-driven association, serves as a catalyst for business development in the greater Aurora area.
- Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA): The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy is an internationally-recognized pioneering educational institution created by the state of Illinois to develop talent and leadership in mathematics, science and technology. IMSA's advanced residential college preparatory program enrolls 650 academically talented Illinois students in grades 10-12. Nearly 21,000 teachers and 52,500 students in Illinois and beyond have benefited from IMSA's professional development programs and student enrichment/pathway programs.

- Menta Group: The Menta Group is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to providing innovative solutions to critical problems in education and human services.
- Packer Foundation Center for Applications Based Learning: The Packer Foundation Center for Application Based promotes science, mathematics, and technology education at all levels. Its internship and professional development programs enhance the education of students training to become scientists, engineers, and scientifically literate citizens.
- Quad County Urban League: The Quad County Urban League is dedicated to advocating and establishing programs that facilitate the social and economic growth of African Americans and similarly disadvantaged people in DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will counties.
- Robert Crown Center for Health Education: Robert Crown Center is the preeminent provider of health education for school-aged children and young adults in the Chicago region. Our health educators and classes aim to influence children and their parents to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles.
- Rush Copley Medical Center: Rush-Copley Medical Center’s 183-bed hospital offers inpatient and outpatient care and progressive technology. Rush-Copley is a member of the Rush-System for Health.
- Urban Youth Ministries (UYM): Wayside Cross’ Urban Youth Ministry has been reaching out to at-risk youth in the Aurora community for more than fifteen years. UYM facilitates after school programming in elementary and middle schools and sponsors the Aurora Neighborhood Baseball League, providing free summer baseball for more that 250 children in Aurora.
