Grant External Evaluator

Independent Contractor

The Evaluator will develop, implement, document and submit an evaluation of a grant such as the Illinois Math and Science Partnership (IMSP) program or other grant programs.  The candidate should have some training and experience in grant evaluation.  Must be familiar with evaluation process required by State and Federal grants;  be able to identify research questions and be familiar with experimental designs.  Candidate should have strong quantitative and communications skills and must be able to document and communicate program evaluation results in a timely manner.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Devise an evaluation plan to assess the grant program
  • Facilitate choosing appropriate key assessments to evaluate the different components of the program
  • Take primary responsibility for collecting data from teachers, school districts, and partners
  • Prepare and submit all evaluation documents required by state or federal granting agency
  • Attend meetings with the Team Leader and Principal Investigator to provide updates on evaluation implementation and results
  • Provide data and results to disseminate the outcome and findings
