As a private institution, Aurora University expects faculty to be involved in the lives of students through mentoring, student support, enrollment initiatives, and other activities relating to the college experience. An earned doctorate (or appropriate terminal degree as specified within the position) and evidence of successful teaching, including teaching in the classroom and online are required for all positions. Undergraduate faculty are generally expected to contribute to the interdisciplinary general education program, and the university honors program. All faculty may be asked to teach both online and on ground courses.

George Williams College of Aurora University, Williams Bay, WI
SOCIAL WORK, MSW and DSW PROGRAMS -12 - month Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professor. The School of Social Work offers BSW, MSW, and DSW programs at the GWC campus. This search is for a faculty member who will teach in the clinical and research sequences in the MSW and DSW programs. We seek candidates who can provide leadership in the advanced clinical theory and methods courses as well as research courses. To foster student learning, candidates will have experience in contemporary practice issues and an advanced knowledge base in psychodynamics, cognitive, and family systems theories. Additional Requirements: MSW from accredited school of social work, and a doctoral degree in social work or a related field; Five years or more of clinical practice experience in community agencies; Experience in online teaching is essential; Experience supervising doctoral student clinical practicums is preferred. The position will require some weekend and evening teaching as well as online instruction in the DSW program.
WRITING and ENGLISH - 9 Month Tenure Track Assistant Professor. George Williams College seeks a full-time, 9 month, tenure-track faculty member in Writing and English. This search is for a faculty member who will teach English and Communication courses in the undergraduate program. In addition, the candidate will provide leadership in expanding the College's Student Writing Center. To foster student learning, the candidate will be responsible for tutoring, supervising student tutors, promoting the work of the Writing Center across campus, and collaborating with faculty to provide additional support for student writers across all levels and areas of curriculum. An earned doctorate in English, Writing, or a related field is required. Some combination of familiarity with environmental and/or world literatures; experience in writing center tutoring, coordination, evaluation, and assessment; familiarity with the use of technology in writing intensive courses; digital rhetoric and computer-bases/digital production web technologies; experience in creative writing, journalism, and/or technical writing; and experience in online teaching is preferred.
