Our two campuses are located in Aurora, Illinois, 40 miles west of Chicago, and on the shores of Geneva Lake in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. Additionally, we have an Educational Center in Woodstock, Illinois.

We are looking for talented assistant professors (unless otherwise noted) to join us in Fall of 2012.
As a private institution, Aurora University expects faculty to be involved in the lives of students through mentoring, student support, enrollment initiatives, and other activities relating to the college experience. An earned doctorate (or appropriate terminal degree as specified within the position) and evidence of successful teaching or a strong potential for successful teaching in the classroom and online are required for all positions. Undergraduate faculty are generally expected to contribute to the interdisciplinary general education program, and the university honors program. All faculty may be asked to teach both online and on ground courses.

College of Professional Studies
ACCOUNTING -Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. Teach accounting at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in one or more of the following areas: financial, managerial, auditing and/or taxation. This position requires an MBA and CPA. An earned doctorate in business or a related field preferred.
ALLIED HEALTH - Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. Successful candidate will be qualified to teach a variety of undergraduate allied health courses with the specialization open. Candidates interested in participating developing and teaching online courses are especially encouraged. An earned doctorate is required and practice experience is preferred.
BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION/ORGANIZATIONAL - Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. The focus of this position is on organizational behavior (to include leadership), with secondary interests in human resources and negotiation. Requires an earned doctorate in business or a related field.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE - CHAIR - Tenure Track Associate or Full Professor. Lead a department that offers undergraduate, graduate, and adult degree completion programs. Must be able to provide steady and effective leadership, recruit students, and promote the development of online programs. Area of specialization within criminal justice is open.
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS - Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. Teaches management information systems including - databases and date management, global enterprise systems, web design and development, and systems analysis and design at both the undergraduate and Masters' levels. Requires an earned doctorate in MIS or Accounting Information Systems with a background and/or interest in management information systems.
MEDICAL SURGICAL NURSING - Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. Faculty position available in our CCNE accredited BSN program. Position includes didactic and clinical instruction, student mentoring, participation scholarly activity and involvement in university and community service. Opportunity for doctorally prepared candidates to teach in the MSN program. Illinois license and MSN degree required for clinical track, earned doctorate in nursing or related field required for tenure track.
