Aurora University is a private, independent, comprehensive institution founded in 1893 offering Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees and committed to educating students for the greater good. Our two campuses are located in Aurora, Illinois, 40 miles west of Chicago, and on the shores of Geneva Lake in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. We seek people passionately involved in the educational process who will help us realize our vision.
We are looking for talented assistant professors to join us in Fall of 2010. Experienced faculty applying at the associate rank may be considered.
UNDERGRADUATE FACULTY: As a private institution, Aurora University expects faculty to be involved in the lives of students through mentoring, student support, enrollment initiatives, and other activities relating to the college experience. Ph.D. and evidence of successful teaching or a strong potential for successful teaching are required unless otherwise specified. Undergraduate faculty are generally expected to contribute to the interdisciplinary general education program, and, when appropriate, the university honors program.
GRADUATE FACULTY: Graduate programs at Aurora University emphasize professional preparation. As such, preference will be given to candidates with professional experience in their field along with teaching expertise. An appropriate level of scholarly productivity and advising of graduate students also are expected. Ph.D. and evidence of successful teaching or a strong potential for successful teaching are required unless otherwise specified.

Dunham School of Business
ACCOUNTING: Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. This position requires an MBA and CPA with an earned doctorate in Business or a related field preferred.
Marketing/Business Administration: Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. This position requires an MBA with an earned doctorate in Business or a related field. Graduate and undergraduate opportunities will be available.
School of Nursing
Medical Surgical Nursing: Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. Three full-time medical-surgical nursing faculty positions are available in our BSN program. Current Illinois license and Masters Degree in Nursing required, earned doctorate in nursing or nursing related field preferred.
Community/Public Health Nursing: Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. A full-time community health nursing faculty position is available in our BSN program. Current Illinois license and Masters Degree in Nursing required, earned doctorate in nursing or nursing related field preferred
Behavioral Health Nursing: Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. A full-time behavioral health nursing faculty position is available in our BSN program. Current Illinois license and Masters Degree in Nursing required, earned doctorate in nursing or nursing related field preferred.
Maternal Child Nursing: Tenure or Clinical Track Assistant Professor. A full-time maternal child nursing faculty position is available in our BSN program. Current Illinois license and Masters Degree in Nursing required, earned doctorate in nursing or nursing related field preferred.
Graduate Nursing: Tenure Track Assistant Professor. A full-time graduate faculty nursing position is available in our MSN program. Current Illinois license and earned doctorate required.
School of Social Work
SOCIAL WORK: Tenure Track Assistant Professor. Teach primarily Bachelor of Social Work courses on the George Williams College campus in Williams Bay Wisconsin. This position requires an M.S.W. from a CSWE-accredited program and an earned Doctorate in Social Work or a related field.
SOCIAL WORK: Tenure Track Assistant Professor. Teach primarily advanced clinical theory and practice courses on the Aurora campus in the Masters of Social Work program. Position requires an M.S.W. from a CSWE-accredited program and an earned Doctorate in Social Work or a related field.
