Note: The University is open between Christmas and New Year.

Additional Days:

  • Personal Days: Benefit Eligible regular employees (exempt and
    non-exempt, non faculty) are eligible for two (2) personal days to be taken
    within the calendar year. No time will carry over into a subsequent
    calendar year.

    NOTE: During an employee’s first year of employment, personal days
    will be prorated as follows. Based on a hire date between:

    1. January 1 through April 30: Two (2) personal days
    2. May 1 through August 31: One (1) personal day
    3. September 1 through December 31: No (0) personal days

  • Winter Floating Days: The days between Christmas Day (observed) and New Year’s Day (observed) may be used as holidays at that time if Scheduling permits, or as floating days during the months of December or January of the holiday season. No days are carried past January 31 of the Holiday season. If the days between Christmas and New Year’s are taken off, the Winter Floating Holidays must be used to cover those days.
