Jeanine Clark Bremer
Jeanine Clark Bremer is a proud alumna (1996) from Aurora University with a BA in Political Science. She obtained her MA in Ancient History from Northern Illinois University and is currently ABD in Environmental History at NIU with an expected completion date in 2009. She is the recipient of the Thomas C. Wiegele Interdisciplinary Dissertation Completion Award for 2007 and also serves as an editor for H-Florida, which is part of the H-Net network. Jeanine currently teaches for Aurora University in History, Political Science, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. Her interests include SCUBA diving, wildlife rehabilitation, and travel. |

Susan Palmer
Susan Palmer, a longtime member of the Aurora University History Department, received a BA in history from Aurora College (Aurora University) and an MA and PhD in history from Northern Illinois University. Her research interests lie in the fields of American urban, ethnic history. She has received both Aurora University's Academic Advisor of the Year Award and a Certificate of Merit from the ACT / NACADA National Recognition Program for Academic Advising. For seven years, she served on the Advisory Committee for the Records of Congress, under the auspices of the United States Congress and the National Archives. In the larger Aurora community, she has served as a board member and president of the Aurora Historical Society and on Aurora's Historic Preservation Commission. At Aurora University, she has lectured on such current events as the Persian Gulf War and September 11. In the larger Aurora community, she has given numerous presentations on Aurora's history, women's history, ethnic history, and the history of American residential architecture. |

Jessica Thurlow
Jessica Thurlow is an Assistant Professor in History at Aurora University.
She is also Secondary Education Liaison for the College of Arts &
Sciences’ programs in History, English, Math and Biology. She received
her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan’s Department of History in 2006
and specializes in contemporary European and British History, women’s and gender history, feminist history and the history of religion. Prof.
Thurlow also has a Masters’ degree in English Literature from the
University of Sussex (U.K.) and received her B.A. in English Literature
from Occidental College (Los Angeles). She teaches European History,
Middle Eastern History, East Asian History, and Historical Methodology and
offers a May term travel course to Britain and Ireland. She also teaches
writing-intensive courses for AU’s Interdisciplinary Studies Program.
