The GWC Resource Center welcomes the challenge of these and many other academic questions. Let the GWC Resource Center be your link to the AU Library and other services. Devoted to continuous learning, the staff recognizes the need for a variety of tools to achieve academic success.


The Student Resource Center provides a number of services free to all registered Aurora University students including:

  • Orientation to AU technology including the Web site and its numerous resources, WebAdvisor, e-mail, directories, schedules and catalogs.
  • Instruction to the on-line library system, databases and request procedures.
  • Tutoring for individuals as requested by faculty and students.
  • Writing Assistance in basic skills, APA style, MLA style and research skills.
  • Review sessions for the Basic Skills Test for school professional (teachers, social workers, etc.).
  • Coaching in note taking, time management, test taking and listening skills.
  • Training in computer software and online resources to support individual learning.
  • Coordination of Reasonable Accommodations for special needs students with documented physical, learning or psychological disabilities. Accommodations include:
    • Assistive equipment and software
    • Books on tape and note takers
    • Test taking accommodations
    • Academic support and advocacy
    • Coordination with campus offices to provide other types of support as needed

The Resource Center is located on the second floor of Meyer Lodge. Hours are daily, including weekends, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Other times available by appointment with Dianna Woss.
