Remodeled Beasley Campus Center Meets Growing Needs of GWC

The new Beasley Campus Center opened on the George Williams College campus in July 2007. This new facility provides campus dining services as well as meeting rooms, outdoor gathering space and concert, banquet and reception areas. It contains a state-of-the-art kitchen and dining facilities to accommodate executive and youth dining options.

In addition to providing students and guests with high quality dining experiences, the new facility will function as a living museum. The George Williams Memorial Room, one of two existing replicas of the London quarters where the YMCA was established in 1844, is in a prime location in the new center. In the future, exhibits will be located throughout the building to tell the George Williams College story and celebrate the heritage of it's YMCA roots.

A generous gift from a longtime friend and supporter of George Williams College and Aurora University is recognized in this building, the late Ted Beasley. The building continues the legacy of the Beasley family name. He helped fund the Beasley Student Center on the George Williams College Downers Grove campus and provided an endowment for the future support of the Beasley Campus Center.
