Aurora University
Overview
Founded 1893

We are an independent, comprehensive university offering undergraduate
and graduate degree programs and specialized courses. The annual budget
exceeds $22 million. Our main campus is in Aurora, Illinois and we have
an additional campus on Lake Geneva in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. The George
Williams College site is more than 200 acres with a marina, 18-hole golf course, and
academic and conference facilities that was acquired when Aurora University merged
with the former George Williams College in 1992.
Aurora University is an independent, four-year university with 2,000
undergraduates and over 1,800 graduate students on the main campus.
Through the George Williams College of Aurora University, continuing education
courses, and partnerships with local business and industry, Aurora
University instructs nearly 4,000 students per year. The average age
of our students is 24 for undergraduates and 31 for graduate students.
Nearly 600 traditional age students reside in five residence halls on the
main campus.
AU is organized into three colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences,
the College of Education (home of the School of Health and Physical Education) and the College of Professional Studies (home
of the School of Nursing, the Dunham School
of Business and the School of Social Work). AU is a member of the NCAA
Division III and participates in nine men's and nine women's intercollegiate
sports.
