(Please note that your days in Greece will be necessarily filled with a lot of walking.) This course meets General Education Knowing Ourselves and Others (B) requirements, and will also give you credit as a Philosophy, Political Science, or English course, counting toward majors or minors in those disciplines. Crosslisted with HUM3880-01-MT, ENG3880-01-MT, PSC3880-01-MT. Location: Athens, the Argolid, Olympia area, and Delphi (Greece). Course Dates/Times: Class meets May 10-29, 2010. Class meetings will be held on the AU Campus the week of May 10 from 8:00am to 4:00pm; trip dates May 13-24, 2010. Trip costs: $2500 includes airfare, transportation between airport and hotel, double occupancy accommodations in Greece, some meals (breakfasts), all transportation within Greece in a private minivan , some museum and cultural event fees. Enrollment is limited to 10 participants. Participants must bring a valid passport, student visa and provide proof of all necessary inoculations to instructor by March 1, 2010. A $500 non-refundable trip deposit is due at the time of registration. Trip registration and deposit must be submitted by December 15, 2009 for travel confirmation. The $2000 balance covering trip expenses is due February 1, 2010 and is not refundable after this date. In addition to the trip costs, tuition charges are $1800 which will be due April 30, 2010. |
