Gerald Butters		 PRE-REQS: Take SPN-3200; Prerequisite: SPN3200 and consent of instructor. Course is applicable toward Spanish major or minor. Students must know enough Spanish to survive in a Spanish only environment and be able to walk up to 3 miles a day. Location: Playa del Carmen. Course Dates/Times: Class meets May 5-24, 2008. Class meetings Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 8:30am to 12:00noon; two required excursions on Thursdays; one optional excursion; one required conference. Trip costs: $1750 includes airfare, double-occupancy accommodations, some food, transportation on the ground, entrance fees to archaeological exhibitions, guides and other expenses. Enrollment limited to 10 students between HIS3880-01-MT and SPN3880-01-MT. Participants must bring a valid passport and provide proof of all necessary inoculations to instructor by March 1, 2008. A $500 non-refundable trip deposit is due at the time of registration. Trip registration and deposit must be submitted by December 1, 2007 for travel confirmation. The $1250 balance covering trip expenses is due February 1, 2008 and is not refundable after this date.

Cross-listed with SBS3880-01-MT and IDS3880-04-MT. May meet a General Education requirement Knowing Ourselves and Others Group A or B requirement. Location: Barcelona, Spain Course Dates/Times: Class meets May 31 to June 15, 2008. Class meetings to be determined by the faculty. Trip costs: $3100 includes airfare, double occupancy housing, transportation on the ground, entrance fees to museums and places of interest, guides and other expenses. Enrollment limited to 16 students between SPN3880-02-MT, SBS3880-01-MT and IDS3880-04-MT. Participants must bring a valid passport and provide proof of all necessary inoculations to instructor by March 1, 2008. A $500 non-refundable trip deposit is due at the time of registration. Trip registration and deposit must be submitted by December 1, 2007 for travel confirmation. The $2600 balance covering trip expenses is due February 1, 2008 and is not refundable after this date.
