Prerequisites: Consent of instructor. Students must know enough Spanish to survive in a Spanish only environment and be able to walk up to 3 miles a day. Meets General Education Knowing Ourselves and Others Group B requirement. Course is applicable as a history elective. Location: Playa del Carmen. Course Dates/Times: Class meets May 6-23, 2008. Class meetings Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 8:30am to 12:00noon; two required excursions on Thursdays; one optional excursion; one required conference. Trip costs: $1750 includes airfare, double-occupancy accommodations, some food, transportation on the ground, entrance fees to archaeological exhibitions, guides and other expenses. Enrollment limited to 10 students between HIS3880-01-MT and SPN3880-01-MT. Participants must bring a valid passport and provide proof of all necessary inoculations to instructor by March 1, 2008. A $500 non-refundable trip deposit is due at the time of registration. Trip registration and deposit must be submitted by December 1, 2007 for travel confirmation. The $1250 balance covering trip expenses is due February 1, 2008 and is not refundable after this date.

Location: Paris, France Course Dates/Times: Class meets May 5-17, 2008. Class meetings will be held during the trip as determined by the instructor. Trip costs: $2275 includes airfare, transportation to and from airport, double-occupancy accommodations in Paris, transportation for day trips, museum and cultural event fees. Enrollment limited to 15 students. Participants must bring a valid passport and provide proof of all necessary inoculations to instructor by March 1, 2008. A $500 non-refundable trip deposit is due at the time of registration. Trip registration and deposit must be submitted by December 1, 2007 for travel confirmation. The $1775 balance covering trip expenses is due February 1, 2008 and is not refundable after this date.

Location: London and Dublin Course Dates/Times: Class meets on campus May 5-9 and May 23 from 9:00am to 12:30pm. Trip dates are May 12-22, 2008. Trip costs: $2150 includes airfare, transportation to and from airport, double-occupancy accommodations in London and Dublin, transportation for day trips, museum and cultural event fees. Enrollment limited to 15 students. Participants must bring a valid passport and provide proof of all necessary inoculations to instructor by March 1, 2008.
