Bachelor of Science
The computer science/business information systems option of the computer science
major is the ideal program for students who are interested in applying knowledge
of computer science to the problems of business. We find ourselves in a world
where there are increasing demands for more information systems technology.
Because of the tremendous impact of the Internet and computers on individuals,
organizations, and society at large, persons with experience in computer science,
information processing and how it relates to the business world are needed.
This program helps prepare students for positions involving organizational information
systems; for careers as system analysts or programmer-analysts in a business
environment; as managers of computing centers or activities within a computer
center; and for graduate study in management information science, business administration,
or related disciplines.
