Major in Business Administration

Bachelor of Arts - Bachelor of Science
Business administration is one of the most popular majors for college students because of the many career opportunities for which it prepares them. It provides students with the tools needed to prepare them for work as administrators in a variety of organizations, including manufacturing, financial services, health care, and government enterprises.

The major prepares the student in five functional areas of business: accounting, management, marketing, and finance. These areas are reflected in the required core courses. The student builds upon these with elective courses from related areas, selected with the advice of an academic advisor to reflect the student's career goals and personal interests.

The student will be expected to develop the skills and abilities necessary to assume administrative positions leading to the middle and executive management ranks.
