Minor in Music

Faculty Bio - Christine Flasch, conductor

Ms. Flasch is a distinguished musician trained in the rich Midwest choral tradition. She holds a master's degree in vocal performance and pursued a solo career spanning 12 years of singing soprano nationwide. Ms. Flasch's solo career culminated with eight seasons with the Metropolitan Opera Chorus in New York. Since that time, she has taught voice and held various appointments at a number of colleges and universities including the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and Aurora University. She also directs the Music by the Lake summer festival at AU's George Williams College campus near Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and directs two professional ensembles, the Music by the Lake Singers and the Festival Orchestra, both of which are associated with the Music by the Lake Festival.
