What I Believe: Jeff Bulanda

Jeff is a strong advocate of global social justice and human rights. From his earliest memory of being asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?", he recalls wanting to help the people that no one else seemed to care
about. During his professional journey, he has had the privilege of working with adults with severe mental illness and facing homelessness, youth who have experienced multiple psychological traumas and encounter multiple disadvantages on a daily basis, and, most recently, homeless refugees in Cape Town, South Africa victimized by police brutality. He continues to be inspired to do this work by the profound resilience of those with whom he has worked and by the drive of his Aurora University students' "the social work students in his classes and the burgeoning activists of the Aurora University Human Rights Organization.
